Recommended reading about jaw surgery
Does anyone have any recommended reading materials for learning more about jaw surgery, and treatments for specific cases?
I came across a textbook someone posted on Reddit that I’d like to browse:
[Fundamentals of Orthognathic Surgery](https://exodontia.info/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Fundamentals\_Of\_Orthognathic\_Surgery.pdf)
[Animations of the different types of jaw surgery movements](https://www.stefanostea.it/en/oral-maxillofacial-surgery/surgery-orthognathic)
A couple articles about hyperdivergence, which I think means long face types:
[The Morphological Characteristics, Growth, and Etiology of the Hyperdivergent Phenotype](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/259520896\_The\_Morphological\_Characteristics\_Growth\_and\_Etiology\_of\_the\_Hyperdivergent\_Phenotype)
[Surgical considerations in the treatment of hyperdivergence ](https://www.jdao-journal.org/articles/odfen/pdf/2010/03/odfen2010133p287.pdf)
My college alumni library card also gives me access to various online resources, including a text by Derek Steinbacher called Aesthetic Orthognathic Surgery and Rhinoplasty, which I’ll look through. I was surprised to see one of the local surgeons here in Vancouver co-wrote some chapters (Graham Grabowski).
Feel free to post any materials you found helpful here!
