NRE?

I tried to search the group and couldn’t find what I was looking for. I’m curious about people’s experience with NRE (new relationship energy) and being a late bloomer. I’ve spent so much of my adulthood hearing about NRE or similar experiences. I’ve never experienced it. Up until now, all of my relationships have been with cis-het men; which I’m discovering just likely isn’t my thing altogether and has probably been a result of internalized homophobia and comp-het. For anybody else who may have been in a similar situation, did you experience NRE for the first time after getting into a relationship with an another woman or do some people just not experience it ever? In the most non-self-deprecating way possible, I can’t tell if my brain just doesn’t produce whatever chemicals happen during NRE or if it’s just not had the right partner to activate. So, I’m curious about how others have experienced this.
