Overnight Childcare

How old was your child when you decided it was okay to leave them with family overnight?

We have an eight month old, and my wife and I have not had a night to ourselves since he has been born. We were told by a family member that it’s selfish to even think about leaving him with anyone at this stage.

I want you all’s opinions on this. I’m open to perspective, criticism, etc. keep it real.
