So my bees are a 5 frame nuc that I installed the 30th of March. I noticed eggs and brood when I bought the nuc so I was sure there was a queen in there to populate the hive I just didn’t look for her because I was trying to get them installed. I thought the fresh eggs were a tale tale sign that the queen was alive and well. Flash forward to literally 10 minutes ago, I opened up the hive and checked the progress on the bees.

It’s a 10 frame lang stroth box but a feeder takes up 1.5 to 2 frame spots and I filled it with sugar water. There’s about 4 frames not filled at all or even started and they havnt expanded except for burr comb in the roof. Now I noticed as I was inspecting the frames that they made 3 cups on the frame🤔 does that mean they are queenless now? I looked and didn’t see any eggs on that frame at all, not even brood.

Earlier today they also were really buzzy on the outside of the hive, but I thought it was normal for pollen and nectar to come in with a few foragers.

Aka the video I posted was the “buzzy”.

I’m sorta inexperienced but I do have old experience. So I would like someone who’s done this a little longer than me to maybe give tips or their opinion on it.

I need some advice…
