Ch. 13 and unknown pension plan

Filed Ch. 13. Have meeting with the trustee this coming Friday and I have a dilema. I recently left an employer and received notice of a pension plan that I was not aware of. It’s roughly $12,000. I’ll be letting my attorney know about it asap but my question is, can I cash it out for living expenses? I’m currently unemployed and the job market has been horrible.
