The last week/few weeks before I have to put my dog down - anybody know where I can get some carpet strips/rug material to put on tile so she can walk better?

Hi all - unfortunately, my 16 year old lab mix, Chloe, is at the end of her life due to her hind legs degrading to virtually unusable from her Degenerative Myelopathy. She can walk in short spurts, but with the tile in my home, she is prone to slipping & falling. Her date to pass is either this week, or the next (I'm trying to push it out as long as possible if I can keep her comfortable & pain-free).

I have put out a few rubber bath mats next to her bed so that she can utilize those to stand, but in a perfect world, I would have the entire path from her bed to the backyard covered.

Thinking carpet strips, or rugs (and I'd probably add non-slip rubber underneath) would be my best bet.

I can't spend a fortune right now along with all of her other end-of-life expenses, but man, I'd love to be able to do something like this for her.

Any suggestions/ideas on where I could maybe find some scraps, portions of a roll, anything on the cheaper side?

Thanks in advance!
