AITA

I have this friend at college that I’m not super close with, but we get along well. We met through another friend earlier this year, lost touch for a bit since we don’t share classes, and then reconnected recently.

We kept saying we’d hang out at school… but never actually did 😭

So during half term, we finally decided we would meet up. I suggested watching a movie, but she shut it down straight away and didn’t suggest anything else, so I just dropped it.

The next day, I went out with another friend and posted it. I felt kinda guilty, like it might come off as a betrayal, but I still posted anyway.

Then her vibe got weird. She usually comments on my posts (which I genuinely appreciate), but this time, her comments felt sarcastic and a bit mean.

So I messaged her about it the next day. She said she was joking. I told her I don’t mind jokes, just not in my public comments. But she got offended, screenshotted everything (even though I had deleted the worst one), and then removed all her nice comments, too.

Now I’m stuck wondering if I overreacted… but at the same time, I’m trying to stop being a pushover and actually set boundaries. Looking back now, I think she was just joking.
