(Music) Multiple metadata instances for a single artist
I've been using Jellyfin for a few months now for movies/tv and haven't had too many issues. The few problems I've run into ended up being pretty simple to fix... until now.
Running Jellyfin version 10.11.6 through a docker container on a uGreen Nas.
I just set up Jellyfin for my audio files and have started to import music files. So far so good, except for one artist. I have one particular artist that is showing up under 3 separate album artists and 2 separate artists and I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix it. I've checked all the basic things I can think of: file/folder names, individual album/track metadata in jellyfin, all of it seems to be correct. All of the listings have the correct MusicBrainz artist id and all other information I can find is correct except the band name when I sort by artist or album artist.
I can't figure out where it's pulling the incorrect spellings from, I've checked all of the files individually. I've deleted the artist folders in config/metadata/artists, this particular artist is the only one out of the like 10 that I've added that's even getting folders made there. I've deleted and re-imported all of the audio files to try and start over from scratch. No matter what I do, I keep getting the same 3 folders in that location and none of the 3 are even correct. I'm about to lose my mind lmao.
Screenshots of the folders and my files to prove that the naming scheme is correct and consistent and hopefully that I'm not just an idiot: https://imgur.com/a/0MB6fF3
If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. This is pissing me off irrationally at this point
