Can’t message anyone?

New to Chyrpe! I have sent some likes, and apparently I have some likes. I have not been able to send any messages to anyone.

I can see that two of the men who liked me sent me a message- but I can’t respond to them or see their profile. Is this because I haven’t liked them back? How am I ever going to like them back if the app won’t let me see their profile?

Is it like any other dating app, where you can’t chat unless you both like each other? I guess that makes sense…but why show me their blurred square and the message they sent me if I can’t then do anything with it?
