Boyfriend (21M) and I (21F) ever engage in foreplay before sex

Okay, so.. my boyfriend (21M) and I (21F) have been together for over a year and a half now. He was my first for pretty much everything, and has sort of taught me all I know about sex and intimacy. Our sex, for me, is absolutely amazing. I can finish at least twice and it's to the point I crave it almost all the time.

I have no complaints about our intimate life except for.. the foreplay. Or the lack thereof.

When we first met he would talk to me about how much he preferred to be the one giving pleasure, particularly how his favorite activity was giving head. When we first started getting intimate I asked to give him head (my first time) and man was I bad. I was really really bad. I was so bad he told me it was okay, to just stop and that we could try a handjob which I was also pretty bad at. The other couple times I gave him head I asked what he'd like, but each time I kind of butchered the act. I've had the chance to give him head/handjobs literally four times in our entire relationship and I want to give him head again, but I know I'm probably worse than before.

Now, he hasn't given me head once, but I also haven't really requested it. It's been quite some time into our intimate relationship so this feels so awkward to bring up. I've also never received head before. I don't know what to expect or where to even guide him because I don't know what I’m into either. I also don't initiate sex… I know, but I'm so shy, so whenever we have sex it’s that he'll grope me a bit and then ask, "Wanna have sex?” And because he fucks me so good I stay wet the entire time so it hasn’t been a big deal.

It's not really a make or break in our relationship, but I know this is something I can solve with just a question or conversation. But at this point.. how would I go about bringing it up? Please remember I am shy and awkward and this is my first everything, I just want to do it right.
