I'm 25, and I'm still seeing progress in beard development. However, it's patchy and slow, yet still noticeable, and it's been like that since I hit puberty. At first, I never really thought I could grow any sort of facial hair because of its patchiness or being almost nonexistent, but once I hit 20, I started getting a somewhat "decent" goatee. While I've always had enough mustache follicles, they were always rather thin and slow-growing compared to my chin, which has been growing fast lately (at least it feels like that) as I almost need to shave every or every other day to avoid having a short stubble on my chin.

Recently, I first grew a beard for about 10-12 days because I know my girlfriend likes it. You can see pictures of the mini-experiment. The clean-shaven photo is just before the experiment and the mustache while I was shaving it off. I cut the sides after one week because on one side I have very few hairs, while the other is a bit better but still very patchy.

The question is: Does this goatee/circle beard look presentable? Should I have cut the neck hair from the goatee? I chose the shape which maximizes the growth on both sides so that's why it's a bit extended or maybe it isn't and should be styled better? And does it matter at all, because I'm not yet ready for it because I lack facial hair coverage?

Does anything other than a clean-shaven look presentable?
