Why hasn’t the economy crashed yet, have all big investors just agreed to stop selling?

It seems like the value of stocks, housing, etc is all artificial like they aren’t actually influenced by consumers buying and selling products anymore.

How is that possible, like where is the money that is propping all of this up?
