Today’s shave carried a little more meaning than usual. Easter is a reminder of sacrifice, renewal, and the grace we’ve been given through the resurrection of Christ. It’s a day to slow down, reflect, and start fresh—not just outwardly, but inwardly as well.

Keeping that in mind, I went with a simple two-pass shave (WTG) to stay comfortable and intentional with the process.

This was my first run with the Carbon Shaving Co. CX Ti paired with the .71 plate, and it did not disappoint. The polished titanium feels incredible in hand—light yet solid—and it translates beautifully on the face. The shave itself was smooth and controlled, with a mild but present blade feel that reminds you to stay dialed in on technique. It handled two days of growth effortlessly, striking a great balance between comfort and efficiency. Overall, I’m very pleased with this new addition to the den.

For software, Noble Otter Orbit was the perfect companion. If you enjoy a cooling effect, this one really delivers. The lather is everything you’d expect—rich, slick, and protective—making each pass feel effortless. The scent profile is clean and refreshing, with notes of eucalyptus, crisp ozone, light woods, and that signature cooling sensation that lingers just enough to elevate the experience without overpowering it.

All in all, a fantastic shave on a day that means far more than just routine. Grateful for the reminder of what Easter truly represents and the opportunity for a fresh start.
