Ship question

Why is this game not letting me build down to the lowest it can go. I know it can go one more thing lower. I see it on the dimensions when I go to build but it won’t let me place any blocks

Am I missing things line balloon and all that stuff to be able to make my ship bigger?

Pls help. I’m a noob at games like this Lol
