Assistant hears "know" instead of "no" when it asks about replying to texts

This is driving me insane. I use Android Auto, and I've generally liked it. When it reads a text message out, standard procedure is that it prompts "would you like to reply?' If I say "no," the voice interaction with Assistant is supposed to simply end, and Android Auto should go back to whatever it was doing previously. This worked fine up until a couple of days ago.

Now, when I say "no," Assistant hears "know." I know this because it shows the word on screen. Assistant then apparently thinks I'm asking for help with the "know" command and goes this long diatribe about how I can use that to store passwords and crap? FFS I just wanted to hear a text message and now I'm poking at my screen trying to get it to shut up.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm not speaking any differently than I did before.
