Iud's and vulvodynia.
Hello! So this may be a question that doesn't get answered and honestly I'm just asking for the sake of asking. I have had used mirena iuds for a long time, and last year; developed clitorodynia. before that I struggled with repeated/chronic yeast infections which last year became what seems like an embedded uti. I'm trying out all my option's for a "cure" and so as for the question;
Has anyone with vulvodynia/clitorodynia had their iud removed and/ or stopped bc/ saw improvement? like at all?
Also what should I expect? I've had an iud since I was eleven. ive never had a full menstrual cycle except for my first one which lasted a year straight. any tips on how to manage? I don't know anything about tracking a cycle, making it more comfortable, staying clean, etc. I will not use tampons or cups for sure but im thinking period panties and reusable pads will be my go to. any good, affordable, brand's?
Ik its a wild card but it's literally my last option. Everything else has been done/ruled out/ though I'm still not to sure my doctor's understand or know how to look for adhesion/keratin pearls.
Any advice, life experience, knowledge; will help. thank you for your time. Much love and luck to you all. ❤️
