It wasnt OUR relationship, it was MY relationship, but you were just kinda there.

This is a coping stratedy i use (works better with the partner who got the sorter end of the stick), it reminds me of how it sucked staying for as long as i did, basically, YOU were the one who did all of the work, so if your relationship was a company and it went bankrupt, you would keep like 90% of the assets, if im being generous.

You're the one that literally built the entire relationship from scratch so it lasted as long as it did, you're the one that kept things fun, that communicated effectively, that helped them physically/mentally when times needed (while being offered 0 support), you're the one that brought interesting topics.

Every single good moment you guys had, it was ALL YOU, you were literally the reason you have good memories of your relationship, because you're the one who made them *this good*, it was all around an act of self love that your ex just happened to be there. (I'm joking there, but you get the point). I just want to remind you that you that you are a wonderful person. <3
