Halo: Campaign Evolved officially confirmed for PS5 — day and date launch in 2026

Microsoft just posted on the PlayStation Blog confirming Halo: Campaign Evolved is coming to PS5 in 2026. It's a rebuilt version of the original Halo campaign with two-player couch co-op and four-player online co-op with cross-play and cross-progression.

It'll be day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as well.

No specific release date yet, just a 2026 window and a wishlist button on PS Store.

For people who have been following Xbox's multiplatform push — Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, Grounded, and now Halo itself — this feels like a turning point. Halo was always the one people said would never leave Xbox.

For PS5 players who never got to play the original, this is going to be a completely different experience than the MCC offered.

Anyone else think a specific date announcement is coming at a showcase soon?
