Periods weird for 2 1/2 years post covid

2 months after catching covid at my own wedding reception my periods went completely wrong. They were brown, scanty and irregular for around 18 months. Then I had a normal one. After that, they went funny again. Only now, 2 and a half years after my initial infection do they seem to be trying to return to normal. I'm nearly 43 and this started when I was 40! Has anyone else had any similar experiences?
