Trying to find or recreate a shirt I designed, why is this so hard?
Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a bind and hoping for some advice. I designed a shirt for a small project I’ve been working on, and I want to produce a few copies for testing, but finding a service that can handle small runs with consistent quality has been tougher than I expected.
At first, I thought I could just send the design off and get a handful made. But even small-batch production has its hurdles. Some options are too rigid, you can’t tweak the fabric, placement, or print details. Others are flexible, but the quality isn’t consistent; one shirt will look great, and the next might have noticeable differences.
It’s also tricky to keep the creative process smooth while making sure the finished product actually matches what I imagined. I want the shirts to feel unique and high-quality without committing to a huge order that might not sell or fit the vision.
I guess my question is, how do others handle this?
- Do you have tips for finding services that balance small-batch flexibility and quality?
- How do you experiment with design without overcommitting or ending up with inconsistent results?
Any advice or experiences would be super helpful!
