I’ve been looking at this from a more zoomed-out perspective lately.

Let’s assume the bullish scenario actually happens and tokenization grows into this multi-trillion-dollar market over the next decade.

Most people seem to think the value will flow to platforms, exchanges, or whoever is issuing the tokens.

But I’m starting to think that’s only part of the story.

Because before anything happens - any trade, any loan, any transaction - you need one thing first. Valuation.

No price, no activity.

And unlike tokens, valuation isn’t something you set once and forget. It keeps changing. Markets move, risk shifts, new data comes in.

So whoever is providing that valuation isn’t just involved at the start - they’re involved the entire time.

That creates a very different kind of business model.

Instead of charging once, you’re part of a continuous loop. Assets get priced at issuance, during trading, when used as collateral, for reporting, and eventually during exit.

Multiple touchpoints, repeated over time.

Now add AI into the mix.

The more data you process, the better your models get. And the better your models get, the harder it becomes for anyone else to compete. It starts creating this feedback loop where accuracy improves and switching becomes less attractive.

At some point, that stops looking like a feature and starts looking like infrastructure.

That shift is what made me look at Datavault AI Inc. a bit differently.

They’re not just trying to ride the tokenization narrative. They’re building around data, valuation, and monetization - which could end up being one of the more defensible layers in the whole stack.

If the market really does reach that $10T+ range people are projecting, the key question might not be who creates the tokens.

It might be who controls how those tokens get priced.

Curious how others are thinking about this, because it feels like a layer that’s still flying under the radar.

Everyone’s building tokens - but who controls the pricing?
