Buy now or wait for 0.5?

Been lurking in this subreddit for quite a while since I'm on the fence on buying the game. I'm currently playing D4 and its been fun, but I kinda want to dip into PoE 2 now. Played PoE 1 before but not my cup of tea, too "old" for my taste.

With 0.5 around the corner, is it safe to get the game and play now or just wait till it comes out?
