She probably wouldn’t be that big as a Latin solo artist. The Latin music scene is very competitive and usually favors artists who grew up in the culture and are already part of that industry. Daniela being raised in the U.S. and not fully in that space could make it harder for her to get the same level of support as artists people already see as more authentic.During Dream Academy, a lot of Latino fans leaned more toward contestants like Samara and Celeste because they felt more relatable to them. Since Daniela was born and raised in the U.S., some people saw her as more gringo at first. Those first impressions can stick, and in Latin countries, people care a lot about cultural connection and authenticity. Language can also play a part. Just because she sang a Spanish part doesn’t mean her Spanish is very strong. Singing memorized lyrics is different from speaking Spanish naturally and fluently. Some people feel her Spanish sounds a bit Americanized, which can make it harder for some listeners to fully connect with her .In general, many Latin artists build their careers inside the Latin industry from the start, which helps them connect with fans early on. For U.S.-Latino artists, people sometimes question how authentic they are which can make it harder to gain trust and support at first.
