If there are two team leads who get promoted to coach at the same store in the same month, one has been with the company 1 year and the other 7 years, do they both start at base starting rate for coaches?

As in, the TL of 7 years and TL of 1 year will now be making the same money as a coach? The 7 years of experience with Walmart doesn’t matter?
