It doesn't matter how many quality of life updates they make, how many rewards for progression they give us or how balanced they make the game if the very basis of the game is built upon a faulty matchmaking that doesn't actually allow any fair match-up.

It's not just trophy ladder either, countless times I've been stuck with people who weren't nearly on my level in Ranked, people with a third of my trophies, my playtime and my maxed brawlers. Ergo, people with an objective disadvantage that wasn't their fault.

\#

Let me be clear, this *isn't in any way shape or form* the randoms' problem. They didn't choose to be matched with people not on their level. I'm tired of the "i hate bad randoms" saying because it tries to frame it as if it's THEIR FAULT for being matched people wayy above them in terms of just account progression and playtime.

\#

How would I fix this? Simple. Make trophy count actually *matter.* I have 60k total trophies, for instance: I start up match search, and the game checks two or three "filters" to choose my randoms. First filter is the trophy count: **match me with people of a similar trophy count to me.** Ergo, if I'm, say 65k, match me with people with 64k, 66k, even 68k would be fine. Second filter would be my brawler's trophy count: I have a 1.5k trophy colette: **match me with people, amongst that 60k trophy group, that are playing brawlers with trophy count between 1k and 2k** (Prestige 1).

For Ranked specifically, we'd have a third check, That simply being the rank I'm in. I'm no coding expert but this shouldn't be hard, right?

supercell must rework matchmaking from the ground up if we want this game to actually have a competitive side to it.
