1 TB or 512 GB Macbook Air for college?

I'm thinking about getting my first Macbook this fall for my freshman year of college as a long-time Windows user. I only did a bit of research, but it seems that a Mac will be better than a Windows laptop next year. I'll mainly use the laptop for schoolwork (Kinesiology major), browsing the internet, and watching movies/YouTube. I don't play computer games often. I've been looking at the Macbook Air with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. It's +$200 to get 1TB SSD. Would that be useful or worth it?
