Looking for a good robovac brand
Background: I've had an Ecovacs T50 Omni and currently, an Ecovacs x5 Pro Omni.
The T50 was more or less reliable, did its job, nothing spectacular but it helped keep things clean.
Based on this, I decided to get an X5 Pro Omni around the end of 2024/start of 2025.
It was great for a month or so, but I've been plagued with continuing issues. Unfortunately, because I'm busy as hell, I don't report it immediately and just put up with it for a bit.
Issues I've had;
- Unit would say there's water in the tray, but it's dry. - Sent for repairs
- Unit had a navigation module issue (would keep re-mapping) - Repaired
- Unit's navigation module (the spinny eye) stopped moving - Repaired
- And now, continuing bumper stuck errors, keeps spinning around intermittently like it has not idea.
Still within warranty so I'm trying to get a more permanent solution, I've asked to upgrade to a newer model and I'd pay the difference.
In the high likelihood that I'm stuck with this faulty piece of trash, does anyone know of a unit that isn't plagued with so many issues? There has to be a brand out there that doesn't feel like it's made out of spare parts.
