🎲 D&D Campaign Recruitment – Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass
Hey everyone! My name is [Adrian], I’m 26, based in Chicago, Illinois, and I’ve been playing D&D for about 5 years. I’m a chill DM, 420-friendly, and I just love building stories together.
I’m looking for a solid group to join me in a new open-world D&D campaign: Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass.
📍 Setting Overview:
Obojima is a heavily Studio Ghibli, A vast island that is the only known world. There are no other continents—just this single, living island, inhabited by humans, fishfolk, and unique elven variants. The world is split between two realms: the physical realm and the spirit realm, where demons and mysteries dwell.
⚔️ Gameplay Features:
- New races, feats, subclasses, and character options
- Modified spell lists (some spells removed, others added)
- No clerics in this world
- Sword Schools with mastery systems
- Over 150 potions and a huge variety of crafting ingredients
- New feats, spells, and progression systems
- Heavy roleplay focus, but there will be combat
- Starting Level: Level 2

- Willingness to read and engage with the lore (I’m still learning, too—no pressure!)

This is my first open-world campaign, and I’m really excited to see where it goes. Don’t be intimidated—there’s a lot to learn, and I’m still figuring things out with the book, but we’ll learn together.
