Suffering from Pericoronitis. Can someone guide me on how to manage it please?

Hey Guys,

I (23M) have been suffering from pain in my wisdom tooth area for the last 4 days. The tooth is half grown and the gum flap above got hurt between the upper and lower tooth. Slight swelling, trouble eating and slight pain in right side throat and right ear.

From what I ve heard, it seems like pericoronitis .

I am in Ireland on Stamp1G and have medical insurance (Study and protect graduate insurance) but upon asking few of my friends, came to know that dental is not covered in medical insurance unless its a case of accident/ broken tooth.

Could anyone guide me what is the best way to deal with this please? Should I visit dental or gp, and if yes, whom? I am allergic to painkillers and is managing now with just saltwater treatment. I am trying to avoid big fees unless absolutely necessary. 😵‍💫
