Repurposed my old weighted blanket.

So I’ve been feeling touch starved lately.

I bought a weighted blanket a while back but was personally disappointed to find I just felt trapped when using one rather than comforted.

I got thinking about weighted plushies recently but wasn’t really finding my vibe online (too light, not heated (I imagine due to fire risk), too many fiddly bits, wrong shape, too expensive, etc).

I got hit with the idea upon remembering my old weighted blanket. So what I did is I made it into a weighted “plushie.” First I put it in a zip-up pillow case liner. Then I put another pillow case over it and slipped my heating pad between the two pillow cases.

Currently snuggling with the finished product as I write this lol and I feel contented.

I plan to make some alterations in the future.

- Custom pillow case (sewing project for future) that gives it a bit more plushie energy instead of lumpy pillow energy.

- Something to keep the heating pad in place (corner ties I’m thinking) so it doesn’t slide around so much when I move.

- Perhaps a second heating pad/larger pad so I can get a full wrap around for a more realistic snuggle effect (both sides warm).
