Help! Should I take the LSAT again?
Hello! I am looking to apply for law school in Fall of 2026 and I’m trying to decide whether I should take the LSAT again.
For context, I took it twice last year (my last year of college - 3.89 GPA) and got a 165 and a 169, which I am satisfied with. The only reason I didn’t apply last year was I got a sweet job offer and decided to work for a couple years and then apply.
Unfortunately, that job offer actually got rescinded (not on me, thankfully, shoutout to the economy) and I am in an okay job that’s relevant to law. But I’m trying to decide whether or not having a LSAT score from NOV 2024 will hurt me and if I need to retake. I’ve been studying for a while for the June test and am right around my previous score.
My ultimate question is: should I take the LSAT again (risk scoring lower but fresher score and potential increase)? Will a 169 hurt me when applying for schools (thinking ND, UGA, Vandy, UT Austin vibe)?
