DVLT might be building the layer tokenization actually depends on

Everyone talks about tokenization like it’s the final destination, but if you really think about it, without solid valuation it’s just a wrapper around uncertainty.

That’s what got me looking more closely at Datavault AI. Their focus on data valuation and monetization feels like they’re going after the actual bottleneck instead of just riding the hype.

Because valuation isn’t a one-and-done thing.

It shows up at issuance, when assets are used as collateral, during secondary trading, in reporting, and eventually during liquidation. Every one of those points is where value can shift, and where money is either made or lost.

So if a company can provide consistent, trusted pricing across that entire lifecycle, that’s not just helpful - it’s foundational to how the system works.

What makes it even more interesting is the focus on data itself.

Data is one of those assets that everyone knows is valuable, but almost no one can price properly. And yet it sits underneath AI, financial systems, and a lot of digital infrastructure.

If DVLT can make data valuation something that’s repeatable and actually trusted, they’re not just supporting existing markets - they’re helping create new ones.

Curious how others see it.

Is valuation actually the core infrastructure play that’s being overlooked, or just another piece of the stack?
