**Board member Ertan Torunoğulları, who thanked our fans and reaffirmed our confidence in our players and coach, said,**

*“Today, we thank all our fans who came here believing in us, our team, and our coach. We also thank Beşiktaş for the fight they put up. It was a beautiful match played in a sportsmanlike manner, as it should be on the field, within the rules of soccer. We could have sealed the score earlier. We had 4-5 clear scoring opportunities, but that’s soccer. Sometimes a goal comes in the 30th second, sometimes in extra time. Three points is great. We’re moving forward. As we said on the first day, we believe in our team and our players. The opposing team—I won’t name them, but you all know who they are. Every time they lose points, they do everything to shift the entire narrative and influence the federation and referees—and they succeed at it. Our fans should rest assured on this matter. From now on, we’ll be monitoring all of our rival’s matches. As our president said at the start of the season, we definitely want to stay within the rules of football on the field. We don’t want to fight or stir up trouble in Turkish football, but we see that unfortunately, the referees are influenced by our rival’s every statement. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this from now on. We don’t want to fight, but if a fight is necessary for Fenerbahçe’s interests, we’ll fight the best we can. Our fans should rest assured on this matter.*

*We made a proposal to the Federation. We suggested that each club have a representative in the VAR booth for the remaining matches. They should observe everything that happens in the VAR and report it to their clubs and the Federation. We, as Fenerbahçe, submitted this request. The Federation accepted it, but Beşiktaş apparently didn’t want to send an observer. We don’t know. Hopefully, from now on, there will be a representative from each club in the remaining matches.*

*Those who play soccer know. There are many commentators on TV, including our former referee colleagues. They know. If a referee wants to, he can gradually steer the match to the level he desires. Today, unfortunately, we also saw this from the outside in many situations, but we couldn’t clearly see whether the penalty situation was inside or outside the box. The commentators will discuss it tonight.*

*I’m speaking especially to the Fenerbahçe commentators. No matter who Fenerbahçe signs, they’re a bad player; no matter who the opposing teams sign, they’re a good player. Getting into the position is also important. Which teams have scored the most goals? How many has Fenerbahçe scored? We had 4-5 scoring opportunities, and it was just an unlucky day for us. Cherif is usually the one who scores in those situations. Maybe he hadn’t fully warmed up yet since he came on later. In the next opportunities, whether it’s Cherif, Talisca, or Kerem, they’ll score. If you get into scoring positions, the goals will come. At the end of the league season, we’ll see which club has scored how many goals.*

*Mathematically, we're still in the running. We believe we'll be champions,”*
