Journalist here trying to figure out my next move — anyone work in brand management at an agency?

I’ve spent a good chunk of my career in journalism and honestly I feel like a lot of what I do — storytelling, finding the right angle, writing for specific audiences — overlaps a lot with brand work. So I’ve been seriously considering making the switch.

Not really sure where to start though. If anyone here works in brand management at a marketing agency, I’d love to just hear how you got there, what the day-to-day looks like, and whether someone with my background could realistically break in.

Also — if your agency happens to have anything open or you know someone who does, I’m all ears. Happy to chat in the comments or DMs. Just looking for some honest advice from people who actually know the space.
