[F4F] A white professor learns her place!

I couldn’t believe what I had just read, groaning as I set down the long essay. It was finals time for my psychology class and I had asked everyone to write a paper about psychology with the topic of research that they found fascinating. Admittedly reading about animal studies and different color influences had gotten boring, but I wasn’t prepared for the last paper.

“Why white women submit to Black Girls.” Was the title. I couldn’t help but notice how the phrase ‘white women’ wasn’t capitalized, something I marked as a grammatical error. But still, the paper was unbelievable. No actual research or sources, the girl who submitted it simply promised that it was true in her own vague experiences. I couldn’t possibly pass this paper.

So, I gave her a failing grade. I wasn’t surprised when she reached out to schedule a meeting in my office, few students ever accepted an F without a fight. So, all I had to do was wait.
