I'm so tired of the roping mind games in Proving Grounds
I know Proving Grounds is supposed to be low stakes, but lately it feels like the sweatiest place in the game and not because of decks.
I'm talking about constant roping. Not the occasional "sorry my commute hit a tunnel" rope. I mean the people who burn the whole timer every single turn, especially after a Snap or after they lose a lane. It honestly feels like they treat the timer itself as a win condition.
I play a couple matches to decompress after work and a quick gym session. I'm not trying to turn a 3 minute game into a 12 minute staring contest. If you want to think, great. If you need to do math, fine. But when it's Turn 1, they play nothing and still burn the entire clock, then do it again on Turn 2, that is not thinking. It's just dragging the game out.
The worst part is it ruins the whole rhythm of Snap. Snapping early is fun because it speeds decisions up. Instead it feels like snapping just triggers people to go full punish-you-with-time mode.
I do not want punishments or witch hunts. I just wish there was a better nudge in game: shorter timers in PG, an auto-concede option if both players agree, or something that actually makes casual modes feel casual.
Is this just my matchmaking luck, or are others seeing a spike in this too?
