Am i overreacting or is my ex trying to test waters?

I am 24f and a guy who i had the biggest crush on dumped me and then he reached out to me am saying itwas a mistake etc and i aaid okay lemme give him another chance because i was stupid but like he blew it again . He wanted it to be friends with benefits sorta thing and i was disgusted and he said somethings about like liking me because i would help him academically etc etc . Long story short i stopped and moved on while he stayed single but now he suddenly after 5 years he posted cryptic song which basically means you are with someone you don’t like and give mea chance etc but maybe it is not for me and i am being paranoid but then he sent me two three snaps where as we had stopped sending each other snaps long time ago i told my bf and he asked me to block him and i did. Do you think i am overthinking this
