Looking for Coffee Recommendations in Manhattan

My friend (26F, first-time visitor) and I (26M, second-time visitor) are doing a weekend trip to Manhattan in the next few weeks, and we are looking for coffee shop and cafe recommendations. We'll mostly be in-and-around Midtown, Chelsea, the Upper West Side, and Hell's Kitchen.

We love all kinds of espresso and tea drinks, but neither of us go to national coffee chains. She is a more adventurous coffee drinker who likes to try fun seasonal drinks, and I'm a big "plain iced latte" kind of guy. We plan to get at least one bodega coffee.

I know that coffee shops are a dime a dozen in NYC. I'm not looking for "the best coffee" in the city, just your personal recs! Can be "touristy" or "non-touristy" and any price range. Thank you!!!
