Post family gathering/ holiday support post

Easter was this past weekend and sending love to all the people who are made to feel guilty, worthless, and not worth time because you chose not to procreate.

Currently dealing with this with my mom after a phone call this morning. She sounded sad and dejected and when I asked if she was okay, she dove into her "holidays are just sad for me" speech. I wasn't able for visit for Easter and she makes it very clear that she is sad her family is so small (just my dad, brother, and me).

I am confident in my decision but still, these conversations always hurt my feelings. Holidays are always when these conversations come out and it just fucking sucks.

If anyone else is there today, I feel you!
