New to the Tales of Series - Is Vesperia a good game to start?

NO SPOILERS PLEASE

I've never heard of the tales of series until i saw the tales of vesperia remaster was on sale on xbox for 10 bucks. I've played and throughly enjoyed games like the persona series and metaphor for their great storylines, and while i don't know how the gameplay is, the story looks compelling.

Basically what i'm trying to ask is that is Tales of Vesperia a good game to get started into the series? It doesn't need to be the *best* one to get into it, just if it's a good enough one. thanks!
