Hey r/sideprojects!

A few weeks ago I flew to Ho Chi Minh City with my friend Pauli to compete in LotusHacks - Vietnam's largest AI hackathon. 1000+ participants. 48 hours to ship.

We wanted to solve a problem we both hate: you're on a call, someone needs a number or a status update, and the whole conversation stalls while someone fumbles through tabs. Or nobody checks and decisions get made on guesses.

So we built an AI agent that joins your calls and answers questions with live data from your connected tools. Not just transcription - it actually participates.

We called it KiviKova. We demoed it live - the agent joining a call, pulling data from connected tools, answering questions in real-time. It worked, and the idea stuck.

After the hackathon, I couldn't stop thinking about it. So I spent the last few weeks turning it into a real product.

**It's called Vernix:**

* Joins Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Webex - paste a link, done
* Connects to your tools via MCP (Slack, Linear, GitHub, CRM, and more)
* Voice mode: say "Vernix, what's the sprint status?" - it answers from your actual tools
* Silent mode: joins without audio, answers in chat when mentioned
* Transcribes everything, writes summaries, extracts action items
* Search across all your past calls ("what did Sarah say about the deadline?")
* Upload docs as context - product specs, SOWs, anything

**Business model:** Free forever (5 meetings/mo). Pro at €29/mo with €30 usage credit included. 14-day trial, no credit card.

It's open source (ELv2): [github.com/timborovkov/Vernix](http://github.com/timborovkov/Vernix)

What would you use something like this for? Genuinely curious - it started as a hackathon idea and every real use case helps shape where it goes next.
