I have a monitor with USB-C hub embedded in it. Can I use it to switch between laptop and desktop?

Hello everyone,

I have received a Dell P2425HE monitor that includes a USB-C hub.

The hub is inside the monitor and what I'd like is to be able to switch between my Dell laptop over USB-c which I have confirmed works with all my peripherals and my desktop PC which I use for some casual gaming after work.

Is this possible without a KVM? I'd rather avoid that since it costs quite a bit, though if it's the only way I am not against it.
