So here’s the deal. I decided to dedicate my time and effort into completing every side quest in Wizard City before advancing to Krok. And the entire time i was dreading doing the fishing quest so much so that i debated not doing it at all. but because it gives XP i thought “no i should do it.” perhaps it is because i skipped all of the dialogue when Pelican Dude was explaining the ins and outs but i do not seem to understand how it is at all intuitive. first of all there is a reveal all fish spell which costs one energy. my question is why you’d need to do that when they’re all plainly visible, and no i will not be training it just to see what it does. then there’s the whole standing far enough away while still finding the right angel for the lure. it’s a nightmare because half the time even with a perfect shot they can just decide to go the other direction. or worse straight up just swim away. two times now i caught a fish and it wasn’t even a fish but a moldy box containing mid tier gear and maybe 2 robes worth of gold. and i wouldn’t be complaining about that kind of drop if it wasn’t for the fact that i now have to do this entire process all over again. also, how am i supposed to know the school type of a specific fish without going to the wiki? maybe there is a way but i can not bring myself to figure that out because of how irritated i am at this point. the weird part is i remember all those years ago quite enjoying this feature when it came out even with all the kinks. but at this point i’m probably gonna move on to the land of the reptiles and call it a day because oh my goodness. anyways happy monday

Fishing and why i do not like it.
