Steps to do after car collision. New car owner here

Hi! New car owner here. Just curious, after a car collision, what are the steps to take while in the traffic management? From what I know, they prefer na magkasundo kayo while in the station but I don’t really want the hassle. Can I just refer them to my insurance? Idk if it’s true or not pero if di kayo nagkasundo, bibigyan kayo both ng reckless driving ticket, is that true? The last time kasi na I was involved in a collision, there was a fight and ang exhausting nya just for an issue that could’ve been resolved by our car insurances. Ano pang use nila if mahhassle pa rin pala kami?
