SIM was disabled because of NOWO ➡️ Digi takeover?

I live outside of Portugal right now, but I have a Portuguese SIM from NOWO that suddenly stopped working last month.

I realized no payment was taken in March and I can't log into my NOWO app. When I look at on my online banking receipts, there's a very small charge from Digi last week.

I'm now reading that Digi bought Nowo last year. Has anyone experienced an issue as a part of this takeover?
