So much crashing!

I've been using retroarch just fine for the last few days on pc and steamdeck, but this morning retroarch started crashing every time i tabbed out, which I kind of fixed.

But now every time I try to input text (for example changing the refresh rate or enterring my retroachievements username) as soon as I hit enter on the popup overlay retroarch freezes and crashes - no logs or anything.

This also happened when i tried to change fonts, and beforehand, this morning whenever I opened retroarch without running it as administrator it looked like this and then crashed (image attached)
