Growing tomatoes in a sheltered balcony

Hello, I tried searching for this but I couldn't find anything. I have a completely closed balcony. It's not closed with bricks, only tainted windows. It's south facing, on a high floor, and it gets very hot in the summer (especially with all the heatwaves in the Balkans these last couple of years). Is it possible to grow tomatoes there? I want to hear from people who have at least attempted it, and not from AI. My concern is it will turn into a greenhouse (if so, will adding water to humidify the air be okay?). Thank you in advance!
