Just started recently, my character feels really weak

Hey guys, so my friend and I just started playing recently and we just want to play casual and "experience" the game a little.

He plays as a Blood Death Knight and I started as Havoc Demon Hunter
and for me my "style" or the vibe of the character that I play is really important so I am already really fond of Demon Hunters and Death Knights, the only thing is that I feel really usless and he is like better in everything even damage (at least thats what it feels like)
So my question is if I should maybe switch to a different class, bc the character I want to play should be like an edgy cool meele dmg that rather focuses on Single Target, DH Havoc feels more like an AoE clear rather that ST, is DK Frost better for what I am trying to play? I also saw Devourer DH which also looks cool but is like ranged what I dont really like.

But out of those 3 what would be the most fitting?
