What happened to General Curtleigh & the others?

So we know that the plane with all the Generals, including General Curtleigh, did not make it to the bunker due to damage to the plane. They apparently landed near St. Louis.

What do you think happened to them? They still alive?

After all, Curtleigh appeared to be an kinda important character in S1.
