Are “higher/lower” trivia games still fun, or too predictable?
I’ve been playing a few trivia apps lately and noticed a pattern with “higher/lower” style games.
At first they feel super addictive, but after a while it starts to feel predictable or based on gut feeling more than actual knowledge.
Do you think this format still works long-term?
What makes a trivia game actually “sticky” for you:
- difficulty?
- variety of topics?
- competition / leaderboards?
- something else?
I’ve been experimenting with a version based on real-world data (countries, stats, etc.), and I’m trying to figure out what actually makes people come back.
Curious to hear your thoughts 👀
